EUROPAN 15 KARLOVAC IN A PANEL ON NEW EUROPEAN BAUHAUS
Organized by REGEA Croatia, a public forum “Green integrated planning as a basis for the New European Bauhaus” was held on March 29 in Karlovac. The national platform REGEA illustrates the basis for the realization of the European green plan with the winning work of the Europan 15 competition on the topic Productive cities for the former military barracks in Karlovac, for which the Urban Development Plan has just been adopted. The winning entry entitled The fantastic forest phenomenon, Testing a ew narrative, was a finalist in the New European Bauhaus 2021 competition in one of the categories.
After the introductory address by PhD Julije Domac, director of REGEA, Damir Mandić, Mayor of the City of Karlovac, Martina Furdek-Hajdin, County Prefect of Karlovac and PhD Nina Obuljen Koržinek, Minister of Culture and Media of the Republic of Croatia, the author-team of the competition Hana Dašić, Iva Erić, Jana Horvat, Ria Tursan explained the work, and the main author of the plan Luka Krstulović presented Urban Development Plan Luščić-center.
